Why isn't everyone from both the right and left condemning this obvious nutjob/evil person rather than using this tragedy to score political points?

That’s exactly what I was thinking. What has happened to this country? Why are people on the right offended if this guy turns out to be a white supremacist? I condemn white supremacists no matter which politicians they support. I would expect the left to condemn Muslim terrorists too.
We need to stop this left-right pissing match. Not everything is about politics or can be ascribed to one side or the other. This guy was another in a long line of people wanting to get attention since the Columbine shootings. Thank God there was someone there who stopped it before more were killed or injured.
When you have congresswomen like that Omar making anti semitic statements and closeted racists being allowed to serve as democratic governors like in Virginia, you will have more and more of this. They can try to blame trump like they tried to make up the Russian collusion story, but people are not as dumb as the DNC and the deep state think they are.
They will create the booger man of racism and division but they will find it isn't just a fake monster they made up to con people. It will become real and they'll be targeted just like those they view as their enemies.

They are so quick to blame President Trump for any and everything. Omar seems to be the new Maxine. She just is more specific(publicly at least) in her racist bigotry.
She was in shul to say Kaddish for her mother, who just died in November. She jumped between the shooter and the rabbi, to protect him. She leaves behind a husband and 22-year-old daughter.
In shooting after shooting it is a white male responsible. Generally younger as this piece of trash is. One would think yes think. By this late date and time. This obvious pattern would obviously have been researched, deep into its roots of this madness. Then steps to at least make an attempt on how to deal with them.
What is wrong with a society. when it knows where the problem lies. Young White Males and makes no attempt to correct this hate and anger with these sub humans. To allow this to happen over and over and sit back, and not even attempt to deal with it. Well I'm real sorry but it speaks volumes about this country. Perhaps its time that is said.

trump confirms the good guy with a gun saved lives today. If the person in the synagogue hadn't been armed, there would have been many more murdered by this evil shooter.

The suspect called the police, told him he did it and where to find him.
Kudos for the guy for trying to stop him because the guy MIGHT have been someone who wasn't going to call the police and surrender..

I think you mean well, but to achieve the goal you seek would require a totalitarian regime or a Chinese style censorship society.
Black males are not, in bulk, walking into houses of worship with rifles.
There are many problems in this world and country which are ongoing, but the rise of Right Wing Nationalist Violence is relatively new (for the last two or three generations) and must be stopped.
This being the USA we will probably do the wrong thing. That is, we will arm up every house of worship...and then they will pick other targets (lots of Jewish playhouses, etc.) and then we will arm those up and soon or later people will recede even further OUT of any society which will create even more problems.
You have to realize that this is exactly the goal - chaos. A ripping apart of the entire fabric of our modern world. So, like with bin laden, they win. Unless....we react in a more sane manner.

According to the dailymail, an armed person in the synagogue returned fire and injured the shooter.
If the good guy with a gun hadn't been in the synagogue, this tragedy would have been a much larger slaughter of more innocent people. the shooter had a semi-automatic weapon.

What’s up with these mass shooters wanting to live afterwards? They want the media attention and the kudos from the other crazies who would do this. They should just be referred to as “mass shooter #_” and none of their letters or online posts or manifestos should see the light of day. Make them non-persons and maybe it will stop. It’s like the serial killers of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. It seems like the more attention they got, the more came out of the woodwork.
They want infamy. We should not give it to them.
