The problem isn't that Barr declined to push forward with any charges - that's fine and neither did Mueller. Not liking or suspecting someone isn't the same as having prosecutable evidence.

The problem is that Barr doesn't act like an independent Attorney General, and conservatives aren't smart or interested enough to care. Prosecutors with "loyalty" to the POTUS are bad news.

Barr should act with some semblance of integrity to his office. Instead, he basically auditioned for the job by telegraphing that he'd rubber stamp whatever Trump wants; then put out a misleading spin job on his letter; then followed it up with another political spin show before releasing the redacted report.

As such, he's not an Attorney General; he's Donald's personal lawyer.

How you get to the end result matters.

He is

Just because he doesn’t allow the DOJ to act like the opposition research wing for the Democrats doesn’t mean he isn’t

Eric Holder giving an opinion on the unacceptable conduct of someone. Holder thinks we have a very short memory span.

You can't accuse Bob Mueller of acting that way. If he had been, the conclusion of his report would have been radically different. He did not give Demicrats "what they want." He is a "just the facts" guy, regardless of where it leads him. It led him to a conclusion of wrongdoing by Trump associates and some evidence of potential obstruction by Trump, but not enough to meet the burden of prosecution.

Same cannot be said of Barr, who has gone out of his way to do political PR spin on this to give Trump what he wants.

He did a lot more than that. He suggested Mueller's report exonerated the President across the board, whereas Mueller's report is much more nuanced and less favorable than that.

I'd it wasn't spun in an inappropriate way, the guy who wrote it (and declined to recommend charges) wouldn't have written a letter basically criticizing Barr's spin job.

Again, Bob Mueller has shown himself to be an objective investigator. Barr has shown himself to be a Trump shill who telegraphed all his conclusions when he auditioned for the job.

"Good job, Bill!.. Now kiss the ring.."

From the guy that investigates rodeo clowns and parade floats. Lol. As op stated- did he forget who he is? Reminiscent of hillary saying anyone else would be indicted. These fools are sure the ones to talk.

In much the same way Holder and Lynch were Obamas? The obstruction within that admin was monumental, Holder made Ollie North look like a saint.
