Depends on where you live. If you live in a commie state like California, of course it's going to be higher than $3/gallon.
We have to pay for all of those illegals getting their free health care now.
Yeah, except California is a pretty good place for many people who prefer to be there. In fact:
"According the U.S. Census, between 2014 and 2015, California had thesecond lowest out-migration rate after Texas: slightly less than 21 out of every 1,000 California residents left. In the three years before that, California even edged out Texas. Welcome to the Hotel California."
I have no idea where the OP thinks gas prices are falling. Maybe he thinks that because they have risen about 50 cents in the last few months, and now have dropped about 10 cents, that is a great deal.
Fact is, gas prices were at an all time low under Obama, and now that has changed dramatically.

Another perfect example of a right wing poster on here that doesn't know what communism is.
I am in Santa Monica right now for training. I don't see any bread lines.
Gas prices have fallen quite a bit in the Denver area, another commie state.
Yeah, high state gas taxes but hopefully you're getting good roads etc. in return.
In our area, you could blindfold me and drive around the area and I could probably tell you what side of the state line we are on based upon the potholes. One side has about a 10 cent per gallon higher gas tax and the other side on top of less funds tends to neglect that part of the state with regards to that anyway.
Every few weeks, some right winger tries to give credit to Trump for lower gas prices. Which is funny since gas prices have risen since Trump took office. Gas prices have been volatile for a long time, most especially the last fifteen years. I remember paying 89 cents a gallon in the late 80s, then it went over a dollar in 1999. I remember the first time I paid $2 was in 2005.
As others hsve said, whoever is president shouldn't get much credit for low gas prices because, if nothing else, the price typically goes back up. In fact, here is an 18 month chart showing that gas was at about $2.20 last November and it is $2.70 now, Does Trump deserve blame for that increase?
Other causes of variation would include the amount of competition in the area, cost of real estate and even such things as laws where you can't sell below cost so some stations have to clear out their current gas before lowering their prices.
....and of course a sample size of 1 for each state.
