So who's data should the average layman believe?

If if America and the rest of the West reduced their carbon footprint to zero it would have next to no impact on the environment because of India and China.

So...it's all a complete hoax and falsehood that we need to drive ourselves completely nuts trying to allow this "climate change" liberal nonsense to run our lives.

I equate the average climate change person in the West who is driving themselves crazy trying to go "green" as a child who has grown up rooting for their professional sports team to win a championship.

It's fine and good to root on your sports team to win a championship (fantasyland, ferry tale stuff that is irrelevant to the real world) but don't force the rest of us who live in the Real World to try to live in your crazy make believe world.

My advice to these people: until you can wave a magic wand and make effectively half the planet behave (China and India, effectively), you aren't going to do a da-n thing. Period. And if you cant see this, you are living in a schizophrenic reality. Sorry, it's just the truth.

Omg.... A coastal city? That would never happen in a coastal city... DeSantis must be a god to change the laws of nature on a coastal city...

While true to an extent this "post glacial rebound" causes the sea level rise to vary on the east coast. It is most notable in the mid atlantic and less so on either side of that area. And Miami is still affected but not to the degree as the mid atlantic.

In the linked article it states that when the variations from "post glacial rebound" are corrected, sea level is rising consistently along the east coast.

The study was done by The Woods Hole Oceanography Institute. Not sure if they are part of the global warming conspiracy scientists or not.

We can have a better capitalist system if we powered it with clean, renewable energy.

Like Natural Gas. Fossil fuel is clean and is so plentiful in the U.S. it should be considered like a renewable. CO2 is not the devil, nor is it a pollutant.

Ask the communities that were or are next to coal fired power plants about pollution. Fossil fuels are a finite resource that negatively affect the environment. Building a capitalist system on dirty, finite resources is bad economics.
