Good catch! I bet the scientists have not taken that into account. Quick, get on you're tricycle and let them know!

Oh wait sorry, scientists have taken post-glacial rebound into account with their measurements of sea level rise.

Nobody caaaaaaaares.

No one.

You can't save the Planet, chief. Even if you elimiate all carbon from the West it still won't make a difference.

There is no proof that CO2 is a problem anyway. It occurs naturally, and always has. It is NOT a pollutant. Plants NEED IT TO LIVE. The Left is always moving the bar for the purposes of income (earnings) re-distribution. Now that at least in the U.S. we've pretty much have a handle on actual pollutants, they want to upset the economic apple cart with MMGW. Ridiculous.

That is odd. For 20 years I lived a mile from the coal-fired power plant at Sibley Mo. Never noticed any pollution at all. I assume you lived near one, or are you just making assumptions?

While true to an extent this "post glacial rebound" causes the sea level rise to vary on the east coast. It is most notable in the mid atlantic and less so on either side of that area. And Miami is still affected but not to the degree as the mid atlantic.

In the linked article it states that when the variations from "post glacial rebound" are corrected, sea level is rising consistently along the east coast.

The study was done by The Woods Hole Oceanography Institute. Not sure if they are part of the global warming conspiracy scientists or not.
....fairly accurate....just the usual wordsmithing though

""Over the 20th century, sea level has risen about a foot and a half in coastal communities near Cape Hatteras in North Carolina and along the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. In contrast, New York City and Miami have experienced about a 1-foot rise over the same period,""

or they could have just said in the past 100 years the rate of sea level rise was 9 inches a century... in NY and Miami
...and has not changed...global warming has had no effect on it at all

and that Cape Hatteras and south Chesapeake Bay are sinking faster than sea level is rising...
...and if sea level rise stopped tomorrow...they would still sink

Of course capitalism will change, at the current state it is a matter of time before China takes over. The US and western Europe want to change the game so that they can continue to be on top. Nothing to do with the environment, just corrupt business-politics interest.

There are over one billion people without clean water and electricity. The new regulations will make things more difficult for everyone not just them. As it was once said: the price is worth it.

This debate is somewhat similar to what happened during the Civil War, but now at a global level. The tech "marxists" - as the op calls them- relate to the north industrialists and the oil/gas rich conservatives relate to the slave owners in the south. We can take a safe guess and say the globalists will win.

I wish there was a third choice which builds good relations in which all parties win insteads of one side pillaging and exploiting others less state of development.

Death is clearly the goal. There was a thread about "useless people" and there are posts about "useless people" just in the last couple of days. Further, some years back, on this forum, I wrote a post that quoted all kinds of people (who are part of organizations that claim to care about the earth) who come right out and say that they want less people on this planet.

By attempting to dehumanize anyone who thinks differently, votes differently, speaks differently, it's a slow build up to getting people to believe that "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others". It's straight up Orwellian.

Some will deny, just like they did back in the 90s when they pretended that they weren't pushing the idea that females are better than males, on college campuses, that white Europeans are the reason for the entire world's ills - I know, some of my very own professors said that nonsense.

They always do this. They start out very slowly, see what they can get away with saying, find the line, stay there for a bit waiting for people to "get used to the idea", push again, find the line, stay and wait for people to get "used to the idea", push again, find the line...that's what these people do.

Of course they want to get rid of capitalism, of course they want to take away our inalienable rights, (boy do they try to deny that one despite all of the evidence that has been shown, repeatedly, over and over again), but they really want people to just die until it's just them. Everyone else is "useless".

Then, they will get their so called utopia, the "world will be saved", they won't have to deal with anyone questioning their ideologies, they will control everything - or so they think.

Until their very own turn on them, next. Idiots.

For Chrissakes. Such hyperbole. They want clean water, air, and the planet not to burn. Nothing else.

Certainly other countries are looking into the same thing.

Pretty good analogy. Another one might be the intellectuals vs the anti-intellectuals. The anti-intellectuals prefer to think that all scientific studies are faked for political reasons. Most of the anti-intellectuals also won't even read or look at studies- they believe they already have all the answers.
Just a case of "my mind is made up"- don't confuse me with any facts or science.

For example: The poster who says that CO2 is not a pollutant is correct but he obviously doesn't get the green house gas theory and probably won't even read about it or consider it even when all charts show a hockey stick rise in CO2 since the industrial revolution. And after all, don't get any education at the NASA website because - hey- they probably faked that moon landing- what does NASA know about science anyway.......

Sadly the globalists won't win- we'll all lose together- and that's what the deniers really don't get.
