“I read the reports, saw the news clips. I just wanted to see what was actually happening in order to better enable our efforts to find a fair and a just solution to our broken immigration system,” Rodriguez said.
“To my surprise, I saw something drastically different from the stories I’ve been hearing in our national discourse. Even as a veteran of immigration advocacy in the U.S., I was shocked at the misinformation of the crisis at the border,” he said.
Despite various claims of filth and harsh conditions, Rodriguez said he found nothing to support them.
He didn’t go to McAllen TX or Krome in Miami - even with the best conditions - it’s still be deploarable with so many people. In any case the darling pastors of today didn’t raise a finger in the flooding in Houston - with Harvey. The way they are political now, I have no ear for them.
I am not a christian and haven't been since I was 12. That said, who would I believe first? A pastor or a politician?
Yeah I am going to have to say that on average Pastors will be far more honest than a politician. Politicians are professional liars, it is their stock in trade. There are absolutely frauds and dishonest pastors out there, but every politician is a liar by trade.
Remember Hillary was under sniper fire.
Reid heard from a good source that Romney didn't pay taxes.
Good health insurance for about the cost of a cellphone bill.
NO I'll take the pastors word on this and believe that AOC and company misrepresented the actual conditions. Politicians love to manipulate drama.
I’ll take workers that are there words over both. I don’t have the clip but some cbp spoke anonymously on some news and verified the bad conditions. Think - it’s just common sense to plug 500 people made for 100! Remember Katrina - aww not bad - yea... trust me it’s not good in there.
