The Fourth of July festivities in DC do cost a lot of money. This occurs every year. Even before our President Trump arrived on the scene. Is there a problem?
You either are able to or want to provide the cost or not. If we spend $3MM on it every year, and this extra-special one is $500K more, that's one thing. If it's 10MM more, that's completely different. Perhaps go back to page 1 and read the post that talks about waste by both the parties, waste and entitlement to continue doing so.
I don't have a problem with Trump doing this celebration, and I don't have a problem with it costing a bit more. I don't have a problem with much larger costs being absorbed by any donor group.
And as I type this, if he can keep from becoming political/partisan, then I'm great with the content.
And if he can do all that, I look forward to heads exploding at CNN/MSNBC etal
But see, that's the thing. Obama wouldn't do something like this. That's the difference between the two.
Exactly. The flaw in their "But if Obama had done it; you would have been OK with it," argument is the IF. Obama didn't hold a military campaign rally disguised as a 4th of July celebration. Because Obama had class. Trump is doing it. Because he doesn't. That's the difference between the two men.
But you can post the same picture by as many people as you want....it's still the same picture.....or the same picture in the same picture/view area.....
6:30 is the announced start time. I would think people would gather before he speaks.
OTOH, they might have found out he planned to speak and stayed away.
