Y'know, in one way I have to give Trump some credit --
If he was truly as racist as many people think he is, he would have said MUCH worse that that by now -- and especially because he often doesn't think before he speaks or Tweets, imo.
Well, that is certainly the case.
I wonder if he realizes that three of the four women (AOC, Talib, and Pressley) were born in the United States.
By the logic of his Tweet, he and his family who were born here should go back to Germany or Scotland.
Is not thinking before speaking or Tweeting a trait you want to have in a President ?
He does make a point re: people who seem to think it's great that a Somalian person is in Congress. Why is that, on its own, a great thing? Is Somalia some very successful place and we should be grateful that its people are coming here to show us how it's done? This Ilhan Omar has done nothing but run her mouth and cause trouble the short time that she is been in office. I certainly don't celebrate her presence in the U.S. Congress.
It ties into the whole immigration debate, where people claim that we need an unending stream of tens of millions to come into this country and improve things. I mean, what needs to be improved?
trump was wrong to make this comment questioning the citizenship of the "squad". only one of the four was not born an American.
I support sending immigrant omar, the bigamist, back home to Somalia for breaking American law especially since she hates this country and American citizens.
They aren't my heroes. I have written about my disagreements with AOC on tactics and policies in other threads.
As a character in a play by Berthold Brecht very correctly noted:
"I feel sorry for the country that needs heroes."
Well, unfortunately they are the hero's of many, most likely because they bad mouth Trump on his level, and many like that. They also drown out any moderates.
They are already in their own country, and are working to fix it. Fancy that, brown people native to the US! MAGA, indeed. America's greatness, to whatever degree it ever was great, has been soiled by the likes of Trump.
