Oh gosh, people make posts like these and wonder why people of color want nothing to do with conservative politics. People are too much in their feelings and getting hurt over nothing. It was the media that branded these ladies "the squad", and the name stuck. None of these women said they hate white people or said they have no interest in teaming up or working with whites to achieve things, it is all is you all's head. Stop reaching for things that do not exist. By the way, the ACTUAL words of a squad member:
" ‘Anyone who is interested in building a more equitable and just world is a part of the Squad,’ Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley said."
None of you can find anything where they say they are against whites or white women!!
This is why most minorities align with Democrats if they actually do vote. African-American voting records aren't that good for the most part. I just hope with all the race-baiting Trump has done, it actually changes that, with or without an African-American candidate on the ticket.
The other problem I notice is that conservative African-Americans are often used as more important than they really are. Dr. Ben Carsen and Candice Owens, really are not important other than being used for their race.
AOC and Tlaib are white. They only became POC when it was convenient to beat Trump over the head with racism claims. Progressives have called Hispanics white for years when it aids their numbers game. As far as Tlaib goes, if a Jew is considered white than so should a Palestinian. People only become POC when it aids their racism claims.

It seems to be trendy these days to try to find a way to call yourself "a person of color". You are spot on when you say AOC and Tlaib are white. Arabs are caucasians. PRs range from blonde-haired and blue-eyed to dark skinned black.
I'm half PR and have the same mix as AOC---white, black, native Indian. I never have---and never will refer to myself as "a person of color".

The Nixon Administration categorized Hispanics as a minority. So basically, Hispanics can align with Latino (Latin American countries) and all be minority.
Having said all that, they're deserving of minority protections though, per our constitution, due to systemic racism.
This makes those with white privilege mad because there's no excuse for their plight. It gets worse for them - they get exposed as lazy and uneducated/uninformed.
