Radcliffe's "rant" made Mueller look awful. He asked Mueller point blank using Mueller's very own language in his report where in DOJ or prosecutorial procedure does it say that a prosecutor or investigator's job is to prove a defendant's innocence or exonerate. He asked Mueller for just one other example other than this time with Trump where this unprecedented standard was applied and of course Bob wouldn't and more importantly couldn't give him an answer.
Mueller is completely lost and senile and is like a stuck record player repeating himself with "outside my purview" to every Republican question yet he answers every question from a Democrat without hesitation. It's almost as if he knows every Democratic question coming before it's asked.
This whole hearing is a scripted clown show that in my humble opinion is going to backfire on Democrats when it comes to independents. The visual of Mueller selling his report of possible obstruction of justice while carefully avoiding going on the record by calling any of the instances of possible obstruction impeachable offenses reeks of a prosecutor doing the very things prosecutors traditionally avoid doing. Trashing an investigation subject you didn't bring an indictment against or in the president's case charge with impeachable crimes. That latter of the two is clearly permissible for Mueller to under OLC guidelines. Ken Starr did that in his SC report against Clinto but Mueller didn't even do that in his. What a s###show this is.
When asked if it was true Trump could be charged when he leaves office, Mueller responded simply, “True.”
That’s pretty clear cut.
Did someone misunderstand what he meant? He went through the drill on how you cannot indict a sitting President but he could be charged once he leaves office.
He was talking about what the law allows - he's NOT saying Trump did something that would allow for his indictment once he's out of office.
This is hilarious! Mueller is stumbling and bumbling and very uncomfortable. He has even perjured himself a few times, changing his answers.
THIS is why Trump did not meet with Mueller and subject himself to interrogation designed to trip him up. If Trump had responded in the way that Mueller has responded, Mueller would have used it to indict Trump. So sweet to see Mueller being hammered by the tactics he so often used against others.
