What is wrong with these University of Mississippi students that they feel the need to pose in front of a monument to a brutally murdered black child. It has not been verified that they shot holes in the monument but why were the posing for a picture. The monument has been replaced several times and now they are installing a 500 pound structure to replace it.

Three students were suspended from their fraternity house, Kappa Alpha, after we shared an Instagram photo one of the men posted that was taken in front of a sign commemorating the murder of the 14-year-old black youth in 1955
Till, a 14-year-old African American from Chicago, was visiting family in Mississippi when a gang of white men abducted, tortured and murdered him.
Till's mom had her son's casket open at his funeral to show the murder's brutality. An all-white, all-male jury acquitted two white men accused of the slaying.
Yeah, I saw that earlier and meant to post it here. It boggles the mind how stupid folks can be. It's also sad how many times they have had to replace that histrical marker, SMH
Beyond the utter hatred and stupidity of people that do these things is the fact that these are university students, shouldn't they know better. If they did in fact shoot holes in the placard they should be responsible for the replacement. This is not a violation of the University standards, I wish it was and there isn't much law enforcement can do lacking proof but this speaks largely about Ole Miss

It’s more about the typical political environment of Mississippi than the University. Ole Miss has tried VERY HARD to right the wrongs of the past, and they should be credited for that.
They can’t be held responsible for the large number of raving knuckledragging lunatics across their state.

The good news is that these rednecks have disappeared from site but this will follow them. Kudos to the fraternity for quick action.
If they’re gonna shoot something, they need to go find Carolyn Bryant. That ***** is still alive, and that infuriates me to no end.
She did nothing wrong.
And this obsession with Till is offensive. It's one murder. There's nothing special or remarkable about it other than the likelihood that it spared a lot of women a lot of pain. His dad was executed for raping and killing women when he was in the Army in Italy in WWII, and there is nothing to suggest that the apple fell very far from the tree.

Wow, this post is beyond heinous.
