Yep, I've been saying the Millennials will be the death of the regressive, fundamentalist, anti-21st Century, Trump-owned Republican party. The bad news for the GOP is there are still a bunch of old dinosaurs who have firm grip on the party and will not allow change. But once they and their old constituents die off, there will be no one left.
The GOP is incredibly myopic in all things, from the environment to the health of their own party. I look forward to Millennials them showing the door next year.
The next few years will be interesting - Dem millennials vs. Repub millennials. But it will be good if they both can at least agree on this one point.

Why? So they can BOTH grow government and taxes over a hoax? Nature doesn't respond to more taxes and fees that just create more slush funds for government to control the populace.
Not too surprising, friend of mine from Alabama posted warnings recently she got about the beaches in the gulf coast having outbreaks of flesh eating disease in the water. And another from Florida talking about how horrible the smell is coming from the ocean nearby where all the dead fish were rotting in the Florida sun
Good plan! I think Appalachia, the South and the Midwest should all heat with coal. Sure it will escalate climate change but it will also be self-solving.
That's a funny clip but as with most Hollywood movies not based in reality. A clinker by the way is when the volatile content of coal fuses together producing a lava like looking mass that is hard as a rock. This of course will not fall through grates, anthracite the primary coal used for home heating is nearly all carbon and produces ash that is powder like. This is a clinker.
Here is reality when using anthracite, you know you want one.

We used to heat our homes with coal back in the old country. It's dirty stuff that gets delivered down a shoot, and you'll need to keep shoveling into the fireplace. But good luck with that.
Not trying to be the spelling police but that is "chute". It's common mistake.
The primary coal used here for home heating in the US is anthracite, it has a glass like consistency. It burns with a blue flame and produces no soot when burned. It's mined in Northeaster Pennsylvania, one of the few deposits in the worlds. Probably the largest deposit and highest quality.
Anything imaginable is available including completely automated boiler stokers. The only difference between them and something like gas is you need to put coal in the hopper and remove the ashes. The reason this boiler is labeled biofuel is because it can burn corn or wood pellets, it is primarily designed for coal.
Republican strategists are worrying about the climate mostly because young Republicans are starting to demand that the party takes it seriously. Of course to the ogre in the White House, it is all still a Chinese hoax. But the hand writing is on the wall - they can only deny the obvious for so long, and the strategists get that.
If you have that setup. I had to shovel and hand feed it when I visited family in Roanoke VA 1980's. Very nasty stuff.
They might of been using soft coal, not very pleasant for home heating. In addition to the soot it has a pretty strong sulfur smell. Even in a close urban environment you'd never know it if your neighbor was using anthracite.
Just for some perspective if you wanted to pick up soft coal for home heating the cost might be $60/ton. Anthracite is going to start around $180 or so and it can go above $300 the farthest areas it is available.

Those dead zone are primary caused by agriculture or even the fertilizer you are using on your lawn/garden. The nitrogen and phosphorous encourage the growth of algae and bacterial decomposition consumes all the oxygen.

Calling it a hoax doesn't make it one. Governments in various states affected by climate change, even Republican governments, are starting to take action. They don't think it's a hoax.
