Republican strategists are worrying about the climate mostly because young Republicans are starting to demand that the party takes it seriously. Of course to the ogre in the White House, it is all still a Chinese hoax. But the hand writing is on the wall - they can only deny the obvious for so long, and the strategists get that.

Even FL's governor is getting on board. They may not want to say the words "climate change," but they're sure as hell trying to mitigate the damages. At least his new hire isn't afraid to admit the effects. All these people in government realize it's going to affect their economies.

The people who are directly impacted by climate change have had to take it seriously and plan accordingly. Midwest farmers, for example.

Does this mean that we will stop building Industrial Wind Areas and start building dams and expanding irrigation systems to cope with the effects of natural climatre change??

Will the Democrats supports those type of projects???

I hope they don't. The first casualty will probably be the Gulf Coast and after all their denials and rule changes to hurt the environment, watching that play out could be enlightening for other parts of the world.

Good plan! I think Appalachia, the South and the Midwest should all heat with coal. Sure it will escalate climate change but it will also be self-solving. I don't believe Republicans will start worrying about climate change until their own circumstances are extremely dire.

Horsepooky, says I.
The GOP will use the young voters the same way that Dems have. We don't want "young fresh ideas" from recent college grads and college students. We already have all the ideas we want. What we want is their vote, and if we have to kowtow to them a little to get it, well that's just the price of admission. They are not experienced enough to know the difference.

We Republicans are still more honest than the Obama Dems, who when confronted with pro-life protestors at Notre Dame, offered to "negotiate" with them. And they just roared their approval!
What could possibly be negotiated between pro-life Catholics and a pro-choice President?!

"Ogre", 2020!
