NY’s homicide rate is at its lowest point since WW2.

Obviously politics of this city’s mayor/ counsel is NOT a factor.

Biden's crime bill is responsible for that. Now Biden is being hung on the cross over it.

Hard to say for Chicago. The core of Chicago and the wealthy areas (from downtown to many parts of the Northside) have continued to boom with development, major corporations, tourism, more high wealth individuals, etc.

The south and the west sides have declined, along with manufacturing. Basically, Chicago turned into more of a have/have nots like the country in general. If Republicans ran Chicago, not sure....maybe more balanced??? Who knows.....

Chicago has tolerated criminals and crooked cops since prohibition days.

If the mommas and grandmas haven't figured out how to stop it by now, they never will.

Violent crime substantially declined across the country during the same period. It did not matte what, if any, strategy was employed or the party of the mayor. There is no consensus among the si called experts that study this stuff as to why violent crime declined.

What has changed everywhere is the ever increasing availability of cameras/ video and the 24/7 news cycle that makes everyone more aware of violence.

The homicide rate in NYC is at the lowest point since WW2.

No where in the united states was the decline as great as it was in NY. You don't know what you are talking about. I will say again there are many factors as to why crime declined however the biggest contributing factor was NYPD were finally allowed to do their jobs.

Some studies haves shown getting the lead out of kids bodies had a lot to do with it. It will be interesting to see the crime rate in Flint when those babies- pre schoolers hit middle school.

If pubs ran those cities, dems might actually care about those cities, or pretend too.
