The fading away of our Greatest Generation.....Those who were kids through the Depression, grew up with Christian values and work hard ethic, who fought WWII, Korea, Vietnam are fastly disappearing leaving this country in the hands of Baby Boomers and generations beyond. But Trump is a remnant of that disappearing group of oldtimers. Not the answer, but one variable in why the country has lost its way..........sadly though, its my expsrience that the Vietnam vets are a large local part of the Maga Deplorables. Hard for me to understand as their hero dodged Vietnam several times when their nation called.

That’s what Republicans want. They think the fact women can make their own decisions and gay people are allowed to exist and that everyone isn’t forced to be a Southern Baptist are the cause of all our societal problems.

This country has always had moral decay. Not sure what the OP is talking about.

I agree with this - also that white men are not given a preferred "place" in society anymore, over everyone else anymore just because they are white - they see this as an excuse to kill other people, yet make weirdo claims about "moral decay."

IMO the only thing different today in society is what I wrote above - white men are no longer given a pedestal over other people in this country. This makes the special amongst them (probably the OP and others who agree with him - and note they can be either males or females) upset and feel victimized and they think it is "moral" decay instead of seeing it as a decaying of discrimination against other people. Some of them, like the OP want to continue to be superior to everyone else and if they are not then there is something wrong with society.

Would you say it is better or worse than 20 yrs ago? I dont know, just asking. We did see some bad things, 1960s, 80's, Clinton 90s. L.A. riots Rodney King, etc. Maybe you're right. But we have internet and biased news outlets pushing bad news 24/7.

LOL - I initially thought of similar topics when looking at the OP. They want these "good old days" back and act like since they were all afraid of God while they committed evil that it was "better" lol.

IMO it is better. I grew up in the 1980s and 1990s and crime was out of control and things were much worse than they are today.

There have been biased news outlets for generations - centuries actually. One of my hobbies is reading old newspapers and they were just as ridiculous with the "news" as our current media is in many ways.
