Except that the Chinese government isn’t forcing anybody to work. They have abandoned that a long time ago.
Every worker at the Apple factory is there voluntarily and they are free to leave too.
The Chinese government cannot even tolerate the people talking freely!!!
Read Issacson's book on Jobs. Jobs was pretty proud that the Chinese government could force Apple's workers to show up for the weekend.
Individual evil people have very limited capacity for doing truly awful things.
Organizing people into groups (tribes) increases that the ability for doing truly awful things.
When you get to the level of governments and corporations the ability for doing truly awful things is amazing.
Corporations have a governing structure just like governments. They are composed of people just like governments.
They have the capacity and have done truly awful things just like governments.
With a few exceptions, the only area corporations fall short of truly awful governments is in mass killings of humans. That seems to be an area of awful behavior that truly is a "governmental" function.
Corporations are not inherently evil, but they are composed of humans with great capacity for self-deception.
For those who don’t understand what a corporation is, a corporation is merely a group of people VOLUNTARILY organized together to provide certain goods and services.
So why are they evil?
I'm not sure I understand your post.
Are you saying that you think no one can be evil if they're acting voluntarily?
No one believes that corporations are always "evil." However, corporations are formed to make money, and sometimes greed gets the better of people.
Other than the morally- and legally-questionable business decisions that corporations often do, let's not forget that there is a need for antitrust laws to be strengthened. As such, AT&T, Comcast, Disney, Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple, Microsoft, and various other big media/tech companies should each be broken down into smaller yet legally-separate companies (at least 3 or 4) that these big companies cannot legally own.
They are not evil at all. Corporations and business in general, and those behind them, have raised the global quality of life substantially, especially in the last 100 years. Everything around me I have a corporation to thank for.
And all African Americans have a corporation to thank for their 400 years of enslavement and misery also. The millions of dead Vietnamese have Corporations to thank for their lands still being poisoned and mined.

So why are they evil?
Corporations are not evil but they can have tremendous power and unethical people who work in the corporations can leverage that power to benefit the corporation but at the expense of the public. This is no different from government, they both suffer from the same problem. In government we prevent abuse by checks and balances, transparency, oversight and elections. With corporations it is important to have similar structures in place to prevent abusive behavior. Bottom line is unchecked power in either corporations or government can lead to abuse so vigilance is needed over both.

Their ONLY purpose is to make money...if they can make enough money to cover their lawsuits of cheating or otherwise hurting people, that's all that matters. Yes...mostly evil.
The Colonial and US government didn't enslave anyone. They permitted private individuals and enterprise to trade and own slaves.
Hahaha....all in the name of "free" enterprise.
