All people who have lost their minds they are so drunk on their hate, bigotry, and rage that people are actually allowed to exist in this country who might look, believe, or love differently than them.

Who are these people, and why aren’t any of them running for president?

What’s wrong with the pledge of allegiance? I can at least understand people wanting to remove “under God” from it, but do you have a problem with the rest of it?

All that tells us is that you live in a bubble.

I reluctantly have to agree with the above. I don't know that the Dems have veered far to the left as much as the party is here, there and everywhere. So, as a party it is hard to judge where its really at.

Not really.

Conservatives make a big deal though out of making sure everyone is required to do it just like in all of those old black and white PSAs. It's part of the "1950s idealism" they want to force on everyone.

Ironically, today's Trump supporters might not like aspects of this.

Trump’s entire presidency since he came down the escalator and slammed Mexicans with baseless insults has been built partly on racial prejudice and fear which he realized that a lot of poor white people harbored in abundance.

Indeed that’s mainly why I think Ds have the advantage. All they have to do is win these 3 states back that usually vote for Ds anyway.

Democrats had gone bonkers and voters would respond by giving Trump four more years.

The recent Manhattan conversation would be insignificant except that it dovetails with national trends, namely a growing belief that Dems are not coming back to this world anytime soon. The election is still a long way off, but there is no sign that the radicalism surging through the party can be put back in the bottle before the election. What we see now is likely what voters will see in 2020.
