Even CNN is starting to realize the Democrats are losing moderate Democrats to Trump.
They like a lot of his Pro America policies and dislike where the Democrat party has shifted.
Trump barely lost Minnesota in 2016. Good odds he may win it in 2020.
I've been saying that the Dems have gone too far left and are going to lose that middle ground moderate type of Democrat for a good while now.
I don't know what those people are thinking. I debate this with a guy a I work with, He thinks Sanders isn't left enough. I keep telling him that maybe in his liberal bubble it's all good, but a lot of people don't think the way the current front runner dems are thinking, most average everyday people don't like the idea of or don't want:
Decriminalization of illegal border crossings
Giving benefits to illegals
Dismantling ICE
Medicare for all with the removal of private insurance (Big one here)
Free college
Paying off student loans
The blatant pandering to illegals
Prison reform that is too lenient
Being told that they are racist every five minutes
Being told that they are xenophobic for wanting border protection
Green new deal, at least the rate at which they are talking about changing things
I mean if you just walked up and down the street and asked people I'm sure a lot people would be like WTH if you really asked them direct questions about this stuff.
They aren't my dad's Democrats, I'll say that much.

That is not the correct election calculus to apply. There were 100 million voters who did not vote last election. Roughly half are democrats, so 50+ million. By going far left the idea is that a good chunk of those 50 million voters could be energized to vote and that will more than make up for the few in the middle that are lost. I am a moderate Dem and would prefer Tulsi or even Biden if he wasn't senile, but no way in hell am I going to vote for Trump if Warren gets the nomination. I will take my chances with her before giving that buffoon another four years in office. Warren is counting on not only energizing the millions who did not vote, but not losing that many moderate dems like me. I think she is right.
There aren't many sane Democrats left, but Trump should collect most of them given the rogue's gallery of losers the Democrats are trotting out.
Not all of the Democrats are the 'looney left', I recently returned to the Democratic party after about two decades. You may wish to call me crazy, but I see them as the sane choice after this Republican bromance with Trump chaos and deceit.
The globalists and big dark money have got the Republican party by the short hairs, and the people are all the worse off for it. Trump is up to his eyebrows in special interests, and his own personal interests, and despite any claims to the contrary he is in tight with lobbyists, often placing them in charge of agencies that should be protecting us from their kind. It is time to clean house.
The Democratic party is a big coalition of people, so there is a lot of sorting out that has to be done, but I look back at the New Deal and see that they had it right then, and the party are returning to that people-spirit today. I will stand with them this time.

Time will tell. I don't believe that that 50 million you're talking about is down with all of the far left progressive stuff.
I wouldn't mind Gabbard, she's a bit too left for me but I like some of her views on how to use the military.
Biden is done. I don't think he's going to make it.

Everybody who registers as a Democrat or considers themselves to be a Democrat despises Trump with every fiber of their being. Trump will never ever win over ANY Democratic faction. Maybe you guys can scrape up a few Independent voters who have gone deaf, dumb and blind to what is happening to our Country, but that's about it, you starry eyed dreamers.
