Teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg, speaking at the United Nations General Assembly today, said she shouldn't have to be addressing the crisis.
"I should be back in school, on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come to us young people for hope," she said. "How dare you!"
She continued: "You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words — and yet, I'm one of the lucky ones. People are suffering, people are dying."
This kid, left "suffering" with all of the conveniences of the modern world like cell phones, cars, first responders, computers, space research, vast amounts of knowledge on the internet. All of these things require carbon. Nothing was stolen, in fact she has been handed a silver platter and open book to a world where she has more knowledge and resources at the tip of her finger than in the history of the world to go out and create, innovate, lead, and educate.

1. Her dream was to become famous on someone else’s dime. Mission accomplished.
2. She has forfeited her childhood by skipping the joy of a young life and morphing directly into an ignorant scold.
3. She will suffer and die just like everyone else. She just doesn’t realize it yet.

Thats not at all what I'm saying. I'm saying nobody "stole" anything from her. As a society we are vastly better off for having used the resources that we have. I'm sure she has no intent of giving up her use of all the convinces shes been handed because they were "stolen" from her or whatever bumbling nonsense shes talking about.
If she were my child I would tell her to lighten up and get some fresh air, but she probably has parents who are encouraging the theatrics.
