It's as if there's no personal responsibility expected of people today, it's always just point fingers at others if you have any problems in your life. You're a minority down on your luck? Just blame evil straight white men; you're a woman having a problem? Just blame men, especially white men. You're poor? Just evil rich men, all their fault!

I just don't get it, this message of nothing ever being your fault. No personal responsibility for any bad decisions you yourself make that put you in such a position.

Yes and if you are a grumpy ol white guy blame all the immigrants. Or you if you are the wealthy you blame taxes and regulations, if you are a republican you blame the dems n vice versa. But when you only see that trait in others and not yourself, someone is in some very deep, dark denial.

It’s extreme narcissism.

Some people have no scuples. No morals, no self awareness.
No accountability. No integrity. No dignity. Just wallow in self pity.
Blame everyone else, but never accept responsibility yourself. Never stand up and be a real man.

Blame the Democrats. Blame the Never Trumpers. Blame the "fake news" That isn't really fake).

Blame the Whistle blowers. Blame the FBI. Blame the CIA. Blame Obama. Blame Hillary. Blame Biden.
Blame Pelosi. Blame Comey. Blame Mueller. Blame...heck blame just about everybody but yourself.

No matter how much you blame other people and refuse to accept that the fate you have wrought is your doing or misdoing.
But, yet at some point the truth always comes out in the end.

Where you’re at today, is because of the choices YOU made. If you’re struggling in life, that’s your own damn fault, its not because of Trumps personal taxes, greedy corporations, race, etc.

Look no further than the current squatter in the White House. Leader of the pack when it comes to taking zero personal responsibility. And that is literally a fact.

Every day is a brush stroke, how's your portrait looking? You painted it.

What has caused us to become such a "blame everyone else except for yourself for your problems" society?

This describes Donald J. Trump exactly. Perhaps he has set the new standard of permissibility. People identify with him, so that maybe why.

Well, if you were born to parents that were Democrats, you whine and cry and want everything free, including expecting the country to help your illegal alien friends, giving them many free resources. I hope this explains it
