Not good for America is going to come from this.

Sadly, if Trump had just had some patience, I think he actually could have withdrawn our troops in 12-18 months; the Kurds only needed some more time to consolidate their territory in Syria, and then could have defended it themselves. All they would have needed then is our material support in communications, some weaponry and other goods.

Now, the Kurds are going to have to flee into northern Iraq for survival. Assad will wipe out any who remain, and the vacuum the Kurds leave in Syria will be filled by ISIS or some other group like it who are Arab radicals, not Kurds.

And the Russians will follow. What are the odds the Saudis and the other Arabs will be coming to us to protect them again?

There is no need for any military action, let's just boycott and sanction Turkey into the ground. Why do it with Venezuela, which doesn't attack other countries and commit genocides, but not with Turkey? We seriously got our values screwed up.
And, needless to say, they should be kicked out of Nato.

“I am ashamed for the first time in my career,” the unidentified soldier, who has been involved in the training of indigenous forces on multiple continents, told Fox News Wednesday.

“Turkey is not doing what it agreed to. It’s horrible,” the soldier added. “We met every single security agreement. The Kurds met every single agreement [with the Turks]. There was no threat to the Turks — none — from this side of the border.”
Unidentified soldier. That sounds legit.

the Kurds earned a homeland...this is a rough deal right now. I'm not liking this one bit.

Yep.

I equate it to this:

You're in the middle of a home invasion in which you've agreed to split the booty 50-50 with your cohort when greed gets the better of you (even more so than the original greed that was the impetus for the caper) and you stick a diamond bracelet down your pants for yourself not to be counted post-heist.

Afterwards you "come to your senses" and pull out the bracelet to share with your partner in crime.

That's not how you reset your moral compass folks. A reset is "Oh man, what have I done?! I'm turning over the goods, asking for forgiveness, and then accepting whatever punishment comes my way."
