Agree. I don't advocate staying there forever, but I think we could have found a dozen better ways than the one the current admin picked.

You know that same state dept. that hasnt gotten the US out of one theater of war in 18 years?

The US. automatically vetoes any Security Council resolutions condemning Israeli military operations so it’s used to selling its soul to the highest bidder.

Their inability to do so going back 2 decades is precisely why they don't belong in those official positions.
