The most perfect system anyone has come up with is regulated capitalism with a healthy dose of socialism. Which is exactly what we have.
You are saying socialism when you mean to say social programs. Despite what stupid or dishonest people would have you believe, social programs are not socialism.
Socialism seeks to overthrow capitalism and install communism, essentially the goal of socialism is communism... its just a step towards that goal.
Capitalism and socialism cannot coexist for any meaningful period if time. Also, just so people know, socialism is inherently authoritarian and always ends up being abusive and horrible.
Imo no one over the age of 25 should be naive enough to think socialism is a good idea.
Capitalism is the only system where people outside the top 1% can win....and by win I mean not starve. Literally everything else is awful. Now there can be discussion as to what type of capitalist system to use, but those who want to overthrow capitalism are advocating for mass murder and starvation because that's what you'll get literally every time.

Makes sense that democrats favor socialism. It emboldens the victim mentality. It is the perfect system to exchange for votes. We'll give you free stuff from the labor of the backs of other people, and in return, you vote D down the list. Libs already have blacks brainwashed to vote in lock step and they are trying desperately to open borders and extend this system to illegals and their anchors. Once that happens, liberals will cast blacks completely off to the side as they will no longer be needed. Of course, blacks will still vote D out of tradition. Who needs to win on policy and law when you can just give out free sh*t?
What is free? People in Section 8 housing have to pay a small part of the rent.
There has to be a balance of socialism (redistribution of wealth) and capitalism. If you have 100% capitalism, sooner or later you end up with the very talented and able and lucky having all the money and then an underclass that has nothing at all.
We have capitalism but with some socialist type programs. Maybe we're mixing up our terminology but I don't think any of us want other Americans to be starving while others are raking it in. What kind of human beings are we if we want that sort of thing in our country!

My niece has 3 kids with 3 different fathers. She quit high school but later got her GED. She has no job, no security, no education and lives off welfare and food stamps. And btw, she is a staunch Republican. So I guess republicans favor socialism too.

I am a capitalist and feeding the poor and providing them healthcare is not my problem. I pay for my stuff and they can too.
