Exactly. He is not being investigated for impeachment because Democrats didn't like that he was elected. He is being investigated because he is a criminal, who has been committing crimes even before he was elected, and certainly during his administration. And don't start with the "he didn't do anything." It is obvious that he does not believe any law applies to him and that because he is president, he can do anything and get away with it. The list is huge, and growing daily.

A vote on starting the impeachment is not necessary; the inquiry has already started. The purpose of the inquiry is to investigate to assist in drawing articles of impeachment. Once that is done, they will vote on impeachment.
