Nobody will care though. This is small potatoes in the fight to "restore traditional values" in this country. In normal times under a normal President it would matter, but we are in a post-Obergefell world.

Depends on what he knows and what he said. For some people, the phone call was not enough and they could interpret the notes however they want. There has been a missing link in this story. The quid pro quo is confirmed. But Mulvaney claims that was about corruption and the DNC server that is not in Ukraine.
Taylor is providing that link--the link that proves Trump was in fact holding up aid and dangling a WH visit in exchange for Ukraine investigating Burisma and Bidens--a political opponent....yet again. How do the republicans defend that? Holding up funds until he got dirt on a political opponent. That is abuse of power and corruption plain and simple.
Fun fact--in a month, a book is being published by 'Anonymous' that promises to be even more explosive than the op-ed. It will not help the impeachment defense.

Problem is nobody will believe a testimony by an 'anonymous' author especially if it's critical of Trump, who 40% of Americans believe is chosen by God and cannot possibly do any wrong.
Who cares what posters here think? What matters is what the Pubs in the Senate think and with every new piece of evidence word is that they are warming to the idea of kicking the con man out of office.
Democrats described Taylor’s testimony as crucial, saying that he not only filled in many of the holes created by previous testimony and depositions but also drew a "direct line" between the president's demand for an investigation by the Ukrainians into his political rivals and U.S. military aid.
The underlined is all that really matters.
Actual testimony... meh...
The parodies are much more interesting.
Just a reminder - impeachment in the House is a political endeavor. Whether or not a person broke the law does not matter. It's all political.
So the goal for Democrats is to make impeachment palatable without taking a election hit. Of course, members of the propaganda media will give them a hand.
It may be true or it may not but I am tired of people revealing closed door testimony.
