When someone like Trump gets elected by a razor thin margin, you can expect someone like Sanders or Warren to win next time.

It's the only hope to teach people that statism is an unnatural, immoral, and illogical paradigm.
Aren't they already learning that with all the forced blackouts (electricity cutoffs) in California? Left-wing policies quickly beget Venezuela-style lack of basic services.

There are thousands of taxpayer-funded FQHC Title X Family Planning Clinics located throughout the US, not including Planned Parenthood clinics which number less than 700. HHS actually publishes a 173 page directory listing them. So, abortions are actually FAR less necessary than they occur. The only reason there are so many abortions is because WAY TOO MANY are totally irresponsible about their own reproductive health, even when birth control health care, meds, and devices are provided for free (at taxpayer expense) at thousands of locations, nationwide.

Thanks for the laugh.

Why should only those who work for a living pay? That will not only raise inadequate tax revenue to fund M4A, but it is also unfair. Implement a 25% VAT to pay for it. EVERYONE pays! If European countries can do it, so can the US.

Candidate Trump said that everyone would have health insurance and that the government would pay for it. Sounds a lot like socialism to me.

"We're going to have insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can't pay for it, you don't get it. That's not going to happen with us. The government's going to pay for it." -- Donald J. Trump

Did you vote for Trump? Why are you trying to hold a politician that you didn't vote for to your agenda? I think Trump will address this in his second term. But you have to vote for that second term to find out what's in it.

“They” don?t control the weather.

Weather patterns of relatively low humidity, strong winds, dry fuels and dry lightening pose serious fire risk.

As I understand it, the PREVENTATIVE rolling blackout plan occurs when wind forecasts could throw branches and debris into power lines or topple trees, sparking wildfires.

The goal is to mitigate opportunities for wildfires.

Got a better idea?

Yes and no. For example, my auto insurance premiums are quite low because I'm low-risk. Auto insurance premiums for those with a lot of traffic violations and/or auto accidents are much higher. IOW, premiums are risk-based. Those who are higher-risk pay higher premiums. Same is true of my homeowner's, flood, and wind/hail policies. I'm in a higher risk area for the latter two, so my premiums are much higher than what others pay.

Current traditional Medicare is not free despite most current enrollees or their spouses and their employers have paid Medicare taxes for 40-50 years. Medicare does not pay for everything. There are copays and coinsurance. Those who can afford it buy private Medigap insurance to help pay for that which Medicare does not.
Exactly. Medicare is NOT "free."

About 40% of seniors are enrolled in Advantage Programs whereby Medicare contracts with mostly private insurance companies to insure and provide healthcare. These programs tend to offer more and cost less than traditional Medicare because networks are narrow and enrollees tend to be younger and healthier than those enrolled in traditional Medicare.

Medicare Part A- hospitalization is primarily funded through employer and employee taxes. Part B- medical and D- prescription meds is funded primarily out of general revenues, income taxes and debt.
Both Parts B and D require that seniors pay premiums out of pocket for that coverage.

If he's still around I have suspected Trump to leave this legacy as a lame duck. Trump knows debt, and might extend deficit spending/national debt or some other central money creation scheme to help fund our next national HC reforms.
