Former Defense Department and CIA chief of staff Jeremy Bash blasted a segment on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle as “absolutely despicable,” after host Laura Ingraham and her guest, legal professor John Yoo strongly suggested a Trump national security official, Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, could be guilty of “espionage” after news broke that he plans to testify to Congress that he objected to improper White House political influence toward Ukraine.
Jeremy Bash is nothing but a shameless left-wing hack. He's the guy the Today show uses to tell stupid lies to gullible viewers.
Did he actually hear the phone call or only hear of it 2nd or 3rd hand?
It makes a difference.
If he's the whistle blower he could be charged with leaking secret information.
He did hear the call, he confirms the transcript, and he confirms the strategic importance of rooting out corruption in the Ukraine.... but when he found out doing so might negatively impact a prominent Democrat he freaked out doing everything in his power to protect his party.
He says he's not the "whistleblower", but it's not like he can really be trusted to admit it if he was. The guy clearly picked party over country.
That article is absurd. It presupposes that The Deep State has the right to set foreign policy:
Quote:
Vindman, who was listening in on the infamous July 25 call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, twice raised his concerns about inappropriate White House political influence on Ukraine policy to the NSC’s top lawyer.
It is IMPOSSIBLE for the White House to have inappropriate influence on Ukraine foreign policy. The President does not and cannot "influence" foreign policy at all. Instead, he sets foreign policy. "Inappropriate influence on Ukraine policy" means influence contrary to the White House's policy.

"I am a patriot. It is my sacred duty and honor to advance and defend our country irrespective of party or politics."
"I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen, and I was worried about the implications for the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine."
A patriot who puts our national security first - a concept which is incomprehensible to Donald Trump.
He says he's not the "whistleblower", but it's not like he can really be trusted to admit it if he was. The guy clearly picked party over country.[/quote]
No, you have that wrong. The guy took an oath to our Constitution not Trump. The Guy is doing what an honest person would do. Call out issues to superiors.
He confirmed the transcript..... okay, so how is this big ‘gotcha’ news?

Vindman also says he believed if Ukraine actually pursued an investigation into the Biden family and Burisma, as Trump suggested it did, Ukraine would lose bipartisan support, which would in turn "undermine all U.S. national security."
So, is the guy seriously saying that if the Ukraine investigated Burisma for corruption and they find it involved Biden’s son the Democrats would punish the Ukraine or withdraw support from the Ukraine? Because, that’s what it sounds like to me. Why is this not considered troubling?
