Unwed Birth Rates

What makes you think that addicting countless households to public assistance benefits and wealth redistribution isn't top down control? It's the ultimate of societal control and traps generations in poverty, thereby producing a solid voter base of those who will elect whichever politician promises them more free stuff (paid for by others).
I actually agree to some extent but I'll add that welfare policy comes hand in hand with corporate policy.

The two are meant to uphold one another as we move towards two working parents in the labor force. Its all connected and deliberate.

But again removing welfare won't solve the problem right now, but there are low income families who survive on it and in many ways it keeps the community suffering.

Well that's your blame-the-evil-rich mentality. The reason Democrats are throwing out the welcome mat for illegals is for future votes and more Congressional representation (especially from leftist California).

Did you know a cop was suspended in liberal Fairfax Virginia because he detained some illegal scumbag, driving without a license, who had failed to show for his deportation hearing? The liberals were all defending the scofflaw who should not be in this country in the first place and condemning law enforcement.

Liberals have turned everything upside down.

1) Their anchor babies can, so in two decades the Democrats will be impossible to defeat. It's well known that the less-educated, lower-income people have more babies - especially since they get OPM to pay for them.
2) They indirectly get a say in legislative matters because illegals are counted when determining how many Representative a state gets in Congress.
3) Some illegals do vote, due to lax ID requirements in liberal states.

Next question?

P.S. Your opinion, please, about the law-abiding cop who was punished for detaining the illegal who skipped out on his deportation hearing (so the illegal must have done something ELSE wrong besides just violate immigration law) AND had the nerve to drive without a license. Policeman bad?

More details in link below. One more instance of punishing the good guy (the cop), and the liberals rushing to the defense of the bad guy (the man here illegally driving without a license.) However, you will note that the cop WAS reinstated after some conservatives voiced their displeasure with the policeman being suspended in the first place.

Thanks, Katharsis. I'm glad to learn that conservatives were able to inject some sanity into the situation, overturn the liberal craziness, and get the cop reinstated.

In the meantime, I wonder what happened to the illegal who skipped out on his deportation hearing. He needs to be in jail until the hearing, and then deported.

False, you can have financial ties and trade without engaging in imperialism. George Washington had it right in his Farewell Address.
