It appears that the Democrats are trying to make the case today that Trump should be removed from office because this woman is disgruntled about being relieved of her responsibilities by President Trump.
Again, Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President. There is literally no way that her dismissal in any way is against the law or that it is any way a legitimate justification for removing President Trump from office.
If this is what the Democrats are down to, this is all but over with. Bring in the fat lady. It is time for her to sing.
Right? Agreed.
I'm sitting here listening to her speak and thinking ok, she was let go, and sounds disgruntled and has a bone to pick with her former boss.
This impeachment hearing better have some legit proof soon (LOL), otherwise it is quickly going off the rails as being a total waste of everyone's time, effort and money.
It is built on upset feelings and whispered gossip. Just unreal.
Schiff's 2nd day circus of hearsay and middle school gossip begins.
Not sure if people realize the Nixon tapes were hearsay. If Donald Trump were recorded on tape saying all types of incriminating things, that could also be hearsay. Documents are hearsay. By definition, any statement not made in a courtroom to prove the matter being asserted is hearsay.
Now there are several exceptions to the hearsay rule. And there are in fact times hearsay is more reliable than direct evidence. Take the following for example.
"Oh my God, it's Nicole, O.J. is kicking down the door and he has a knife!"
Clearly a statement made out of court. Clearly a statement that would be offered to prove the truth of the matter asserted (Juice kicking down the door with a knife). But this would be considered an excited utterance and more trustworthy than even someone testifying that they personally saw O.J. show up to her house with a knife. It is therefore a hearsay exception.
My grandmother said the same thing last night, and she leans liberal and was siding with Biden before this Ukraine thing happened. Feels that Biden and son totally got caught with their hands in the cookie jar and that Trump was justified in withholding the funds and wanting to look into it. After all, things are so "legit" in Ukraine that the elite would never just be splitting up and pocketing that aid would they?
Right? That's the thing.
The American public who are paying attention to this whole thing with common sense, realize what's up.
It ain't rocket science and the Democrats are struggling to piece together a provable argument.
Trump bashes those he is afraid of. Yovanovich, a career American diplomat of exemplary esteem who has worked for our government satisfactorily for 33 years under both parties, specifically as an anti-corruption watchdog, mysteriously gets fired by Trump around the time of this phone call in which Trump asks the president of the Ukraine for this personal political favor in exchange for the military aid. Meanwhile, Trump is tweeting the praises of corrupt presidents while bashing her as ineffective. I'm sure it was a complete and utter coincidence.
Translation - That's what you call defending yourself !!!
You go Trump !!! Where republicans have never gone before !!!
If the witness was intimidated it was done by the action shifty Schiff took to read the tweet !!!
Shifty Schiff is trying to intimidate the witness and a fact witness in his own proceeding !!!
Stay tuned, and pay close attention. The witnesses this week are merely the ones getting the casket ready. Next week we will see witnesses start driving nails.
