Why bother when you are just going to say it doesn't count, as you are doing now? You can't keep moving the goalpost and expect not to get called out for it. Obama is a millionaire as well, and I don't recall him sacrificing his salary for any particular cause when he was in office. Instead, democrats want to force Americans to sacrifice more of their heard earned income via higher taxation, which amounts to theft.

The pharma industry will just give MORE money to the 'right people' to derail whatever Trumps money was going to do. Dont forget, the pharma industry is very powerful, they are definitely not going to let Govt kill their cash cow drugs!

I'm not denying it's a nice gesture. But it is only a gesture. $100,000 is a drop in the bucket.

$100,000 is more than just a nice gesture. Think of what you are saying, and the impact such a statement must have on people who can only afford to give $10 or $20. The world is a better place when people are generous and charitable. It's not healthy when dems try to tear down the good deeds and good work of those around them who choose to donate a portion of their wealth to a worthy cause.

You people are insane.

The overwhelming majority of people do not make that amount in a year.

Just acknowledge that he did something good and move on. Or don't acknowledge it at all. You sound foolish here in quibbling about the amount.

The poster above said Obama donated his nobel prize money. That's a good thing he did.

Good to see a president that sets a positive example via his leadership. Funny how I don't recall the multi-millionaire Obamas ever donating their salary to a deserving cause. Seems like it was quite the opposite, with them leaving the WH with a far greater net worth than when they entered. Strange, huh?
