Yes, as long as we can agree to disagree and keep politics out of the discussion. Unfortunately, there are people who have a need to constantly bring up politics.
They just can't help themselves.
I understand politics is a touchy subject esp in today's environment. However, if you know the other person doesn't agree with your viewss don't bring politics into the conversation. Find something else to talk about.
But no.
I've got friends and family members who can't stop complaining about Trump.
And it's getting worse as the impeachment hearings aren't going as well as they hoped.
I don't have any close friends who are liberal, only some casual friends. I don't have any immediate family who are liberal. For one thing, my area is just so overwhelmingly conservative that there are very few liberals outside of the black community, which tends to keep to themselves. The liberal friends that I do have would still probably only be considered moderate outside the south, and they are all black. Even our Democrat governor, very liberal by Louisiana standards, is pro-gun and pro-life.
I'm very comfortable as a conservative here, very different than when I lived in Maryland. I can be totally honest about how I think abortion should be banned with zero exceptions and not create any controversy around here.
