Agree 100%, also sugar is worse than cigarettes. More people die over sugar vs. smoking.
Obesity is a bigger killer and more of a problem in the U.S. than alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes. One of the reasons is that it is now WIDELY ACCEPTED ins society.

This is something that is always puzzling when we start thinking about the statistics for cause of death. Really what they are talking about are the risks of a particular behavior for PREMATURE death. No one os going to dodge that bullet. Whether you are a smoker, a drinker or obese, fact is that you will probably live twice as long as someone in 1800.
Both are or contain chemicals that are there for the effect, not the taste. If one needs/relies on a chemical vs nutrition is where the issue is. Especially when it's not a necessity but desire. The people that do either to excess are constantly looking for a high or buzz that daily life doesn't provide them.
