Bret Stephens is to the left of Trotsky.

This impeachment will be void if not sending into the senate then.

It wasnt obstruction of justice that was charged, but obstruction of congress, which is a joke considering that there are 3 co equal branches of govt, each with oversightvof thevother. The proper way to handle a disagreement, like whether a house issued subpoena is valid, is to allow the supreme court to decide. Charging someone with "obstruction of congress" because they want the court to rule on it, is denying the 3rd branch to rule. There is no such thing as obstruction of congress.

Then? When is 'then'?

The Bill doesn't become voided if it isn't delivered. It has no expiration date, so there is no time limit, but the bill does address only one person.

If Trump is no longer President when the Bill is delivered, then it would be voided, because it would no longer apply to Trump's position. But for as long as he is President, the Bill can be held, and can be sent at any time to the Senate.

Legally.

McConnell wants to get it done and finished lickety-split, ASAP. Pelosi wants to slow it down to a crawl. Both of their reasons are obvious enough. So McConnell can complain, but there's nothing he can do. And Pelosi can hold it up, so she can ignore McConnell's complaints.

Its the way they have both played their Game of Foxes for years.

HaHA! he asserted his Executive Privilege as EVERY President has done throughout history! The House could have went to the Judiciary to override...but they didn't! That is on them!

An impeachment is like an indictment. Have you ever heard of a sealed indictment— Trump’s people are pretty familiar with them. They can sit quietly on a shelf for a long time before they are pursued in court. Pelosi can let the impeachment sit, like McConnell let Merrick Garland’s nomination sit for 290+ days.

Apologies if this has already been pointed out, I haven't read the whole thread, but if Nancy continues with this silly strategy, the Dems will no longer be able to say that Trump was impeached. Well according to Dem star "witness" Noah Feldman anyway.

Given that was the whole purpose of this sham, Nancy has managed to get herself into a no win situation.

Edit: sorry I now see there is another thread addressing this.

I hope Pelosi shoves it so far up McConnell backside he regrets the day he screwed the Dems out of the Merrick Garland appointment.

McConnell talking about process....its like a vegan giving lessons on how to BBQ. Come on man!
Facts? Do you all even know what that word means anymore?
