Oh I understand. Trump didn’t change Republicans. He exposed Republicans for who they are.

They say the want freedom and less government, then they showed they want power and more federalism as long as that allows them to control people who didn’t vote for them. They lost their minds over gay marriage so a third of Trump’s judges are publicly on the record as being anti-gay. They resent a perceived loss of white power and now it’s not just illegal immigration they oppose, they hate legal immigration too and want to reduce it down to just Trump’s wives. They say they don’t hate women but they want to make abortion illegal and punish single mothers while claiming the men are persecuted. They wouldn’t even let a single woman on the GOP healthcare committee. Who does that? Trump supporters.

Even the ABA calls many of Trump’s judges unqualified. They don’t care, Trump is their deity, they will support anything he does no matter what.

I'll disregard the rest of your post. But, once again, the opinion of the ABA is not taken seriously by anyone on the right. They are hugely biased.

According to Trump supporters, no entity that doesn’t agree with them is legitimate. What next? Medical boards? That evil AMA is allowing doctors to practice that don’t believe in faith healing? Why bother with bar exams then? Give Ivanka a license to practice law and put her on the bench because Trump. Three years ago, that would be a joke. Now, a good 35-40% would say she is qualified because she is Trump’s daughter.

That was legislating from the bench. But I'm able to separate my policy preferences from what is constitutionally appropriate.

Anyone who discriminates against gays on account of their sexual orientation is a low down sack of dirt who deserves the strongest condemnation. But that doesn't change the calculus above.
And the truth comes out. There’s a reason a third of a Trump’s judges are anti-gay. And Trump has put judges on the bench who have declared that discriminating against gays is a First Amendment right.

Are you crazy? The ABA is a non-partisan organization. They look at qualifications, judicial records, and peer reviews in order to determine whether or not a person is qualified to serve on the bench.

Just because Trump continues to pick judicial candidates that EVERYONE, including the ABA, say aren't qualified doesn't make the ABA partisan or liberal. It makes them honest.

No. I fully expect her appointment to make abortion illegal. That’s when it really gets ugly. Democrats will fight for states rights. The states where abortion is legal will attract more prosperous employers. Blue states will say they shouldn’t have to pay red states for all their single mothers and welfare babies. Red states will claim they are being persecuted against because the only jobs they attract are the kind that require little education and will demand the large successful companies be broken up because there is too much power and money in blue states. It will be urban vs rural on steroids. Thankfully most of Trump’s supporters are old like Trump.

Stop pretending this is about strict interpretation of the Constitution and admit it’s about power over people you don’t like, including gays, women and minorities.

MAGA!
Might as well, since the Democrats have decided to pursue endless partisan impeachment instead of doing anything constructive for the American people.
