New laws recently implemented in New York and New Jersey and a dozen other states now allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses while blocking data from being accessed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other Department of Homeland Security agencies.

Just more traitors protecting illegal aliens from deportation and giving them the privilege to drive in our country even though they don't even have a right to be in our country.

Trump ought to grow a pair and start arresting the legislature. toss these fools in prison for 5 years and fine them. Federal Immigration is a follows

Federal Immigration and Nationality Act
Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii)

“Any person who . . . encourages or induces an alien to . . . reside . . . knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such . . . residence is . . . in violation of law, shall be punished as provided . . . for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs . . . fined under title 18 . . . imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.”
Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:
* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or
* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.
Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.

They may be able to get driver licenses, but NO insurance company would EVER carry a policy for car insurance for them!! That would put the entire insurance company at risk!

When they are given the green light to break our laws, do you think they care about such traffic laws.

They're essentially told our laws are sort of suggestions.

Well yeah but no offense, it’s a dumb argument. If you were hit by an illegal immigrant, you’d sure as hell want them to be insured. You know if they get a drivers license they are gonna drive. Most insurance companies I imagine require a social. But if they’re uninsured, they’re sure as hell not going to be paying for you if they do get into an accident. The problem is giving them a drivers license to begin with if they can’t insure a vehicle.

I am always asking whether this is the real reason or excuse to be pushing the Real ID Act unto states, as its not the IDs themselves(which the federal government already have themselves for all citizens) but the information sharing from individual states the real reason they are pushing it. Though what I understand was it was a toothless tiger until the majority of states give in. Interestingly during the 2000s during the Bush Adminstration many states were holding out resulting in DHS constantly pushing back the deadline but since 2014 during the Obama Adminstration many states started to give in but the deadline still had to be pushed back, though in the most recent years even the states that were dead against it as well as states that hand drivers licenses to immigrants are giving in. I be curious why those states give in, as if they don't this would just remain a toothless tiger. I be curious would information sharing affect non real ID licenses the ones often given to illegal immigrants or those who decide not to make the arduous trip to the DMV to get their info more exposed

Though an interesting trivia is that most all states only require those who made that state their domicile to obtain a local license, if they don't make it their domicile they are not required to and can use their home licenses indefinitely, which they could also be insured under as plenty of people are insured with a foreign license with or without IDP. If illegal immigrants only secure temporary job positions and never apply for any residents only benefits(i.e enroll their child to public school) since they cannot register to vote they never become domiciled.

And the democrats preach about the law.. they support breaking the laws and we all know it and they are the party of hypocrites.. tell us to change our ways because of global warming and they don't do it themselves. Hypocrites!

We know the democrats give illegals a form to register to vote. The put them in a gift basket to the illegals. The democrats aid and abet breaking the law.

Democrats seems to constantly pushing laws that regulate individual behavior. The reason they want immigrants is to help indoctrinate as much of them as possible to spread there one world agenda. Over the years Many immigrants old country juristication are adopting the same behavior engineering legislation as the developed countries many immigrants moved to including blue states in the US. Ever noticed how Mexico and it’s states and cities are becoming more and more like California, Pacific Northwest, Northeast, Australia, and Europe same with other Latin American and Carribean countries? Adopting the same hundreds of ridiculous behavior engineering or eco fad laws just like the places above on the list.

Though I don’t understand why the states that give immigrates licenses still gave in to Real ID. Isn’t it counterintuitive as Real IDs means the feds would have the info of the illegal immigrants who got licenses. It’s interesting states like California and New Mexico doesn’t do Enchanced drivers licenses instead for those who are citizens or permanent residents which qualifies as a Real ID already.
