However you look at it, targeting an Iranian General has to be seen as an escalation in the US-Iran conflict that had already begun to expand with the Abqaiq–Khurais attack. Middle eastern conflict will never end, and we'll continue to be dragged into it as long as we rely on oil from that region. All the more reason to transit rapidly to electric-powered transportation.
Yeah, we should throw the economy into the toilet so we can't afford to defend ourselves and that will be the wining strategy for world peace !!! Maybe we can borrow our way to this new prosperity !!!

In the last year, Iran has shot down a US drone, attacked a major Saudi oil facility and struck a US base – and all with no response.
The Saudis can and should take care of their own business. After all, that is why we armed them to the teeth.
The attack was against an Iraqi base, not a US base, and it was done by Iraqis but with Iranian help. The US contractor who was killed was a mercenary, essentially, and knew the risks.
Suleimani was a jerk and won't be missed but the response was way out of proportion to the drone attack. I smell pressure from the Israelis and the Saudis in this, and as we all know, Trump is easily manipulated.

CBS offered a double take moment on Thursday as contributor Michael Morell concluded that the “the Iranians want a Democrat in the White House in 2021.” This Morning hosts Tony Dokoupil and Jericka Duncan wondered about the “cycle of violence” and whether “President Trump is vulnerable when you look at him facing impeachment and an election?”
To that question, Morell, the former deputy CIA Director, dismissed this political take, insisting, “I think the Iranians are going to continue putting the pressure on us no matter what, no matter impeachment, no matter election. I think, interestingly, the Iranians and the North Koreans want two different things here.” He added, “The Iranians want a Democrat in the White House in 2021.”
Please show me some of the Obama supporters who objected when he ordered the execution of Osama bin Laden. In fact, forget some. Show me one.
I'll wait.
More importantly - conservatives did not question the actions taken. They may have questioned Obama's involvement - but there was none of the fearful/TDS "we are starting a war" response.

Trump has allied himself with the Sunnis when he cozied up to MBS and the Saudis so of course they want him out of office. Right now we are headed towards war with the Iranians and for what reason? Because Israel and Saudi Arabia hate them. We should not be doing their bidding, especially not the Saudis who were complicit in 9/11.
Makes a nice story line, gets the attention away from the details of impeachment and gives Trump something to crow about.
that can't be right, Democrats were losing the impeachment debate, just like they lost the Mueller debate--neither were going anywhere. The Democrats are in impeachment purgatory for time being.
