Clinton broke a law but at least he didn't illegally order staff to ignore subpoenas, nor did he compromise our national security by withholding military aid from one of our allies.

What do you have against marshmallows? I like marshmallows.

I do agree that Pence will never be president. I would only vote for him if the dems ran a socialist or a pedophile against him.

You dont know if his order was illegal or not. And we will never know because the House democrats couldn’t be bothered challenging it in court. They wanted their impeachment, and they wanted it NOW.

The Court of Appeals heard oral arguments on January 3, 2020. I thought they were supposed to have rulings at the end of the month?

I think they should wait for it.

If you don't like the occupant of the White House the solution lies in the ballot box, not impeachment.

Agreed. Why can't liberals just figure that out?

Re: Andrew Johnson & his disastrous 'Swing Around the Circle' speaking campaign:

Quote:
Johnson undertook the speaking tour in the face of increasing opposition in the northern states and in Washington to his lenient form of reconstruction in the south, which had led the southern states largely to revert to the social system that had predominated before the Civil War.

Appeal isn’t as important as getting things done. He’ll be riding Trump’s wave after 2024. Dems need to start focusing on 2024 right now to stand a chance. They’re so focused on Trump while all they have to offer is that side show of Biden, Sanders, Pocahontas....

Re: Nixon

Quote:
The Judiciary Committee voted on October 30, to begin consideration of possible impeachment of President Nixon by a 21–17 party-line vote, with all the committee's Democrats voting yes and all Republicans voting no,[42] and took up the matter in earnest that December, upon completing the Ford confirmation hearings.
