Senators Running for President Must Recuse From Impeachment Trial
From her statement:
Quote:
“Tomorrow, one hundred United States Senators will be sworn in to serve in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. Four of those Senators must recuse themselves for their unparalleled political interest in seeing this President removed from office. These four Democrats, Senators Bennet, Klobuchar, Sanders, and Warren, cannot sit in judgment of the very President they seek to replace. To participate in this trial would be a failure of the oath they took to be an ‘impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws’. Their presidential ambitions prohibit their ability to view this trial through an objective lens.”
And the Senators who have already told us how they would vote before the 'trial', should they be recused as well given that they have admitted they already know how they will vote?
But I'm not so sure that these SEnators would mind being recused.
It will really hurt them not being able to campaign.
The timing of this Donkey Show (refusal to send the “Emergency” articles to the Senate for 27 days) was designed to keep these Senators tied up in a trial to help Quid Pro Joe &/or Obama favorite, Mayor Pete.
Democrats being impartial on this sham impeachment ? Lmao The Democrats have been seriously butthurt since 2016. Ain’t NO Democrat gonna be impartial. NONE!
Should Biden suspend his campaign during the impeachment trial to make the campaigning fair?
Nobody should suspend their campaign - but if the whole premise of this is Trump is exercising an advantage over a competitor, then the same rules should apply in that these Senators would be exercising an advantage over an opponent.
