Early word is that Israel is accepting of it; the more moderate Arabs are accepting of it; but of course the Hamas-led Palestinians are not. It will be interesting to see if the Palestinians reject yet another offer of peace.
It should be obvious Israel would accept their own plan. The US is expecting Palestinians to reject such plan right off the bat, since there isn't a whole lot in it for them.
If the details in this article are correct (and I am not certain), then it sounds like a very good compromise: Israel will cease further settlements and up to 70% of the West Bank will form a Palestinian state. For security's sake, Israel will still have a military presence throughout the West Bank.

But remember that Israel won the land when Jordan and two other Arab countries tried to annihilate it during the 1967 War. They are no longer "Palestinian lands." From the article, it sounds as if Israel is willing to give back as much as 70% of the land it rightfully won.
The article didn't go into much detail, but I'd think as part of the land "give-back" that the Palestinians would have to acknowledge Israel's right to exist (in peace), and that will become the sticking point.
Lol, that's very generous. So, according to your logic, since the former Soviet Union defeated Nazi Germany (the invader) in WW2, now Russia should be in possession of the territory or, say, 30% of it?

It's not like the 30% of Poland the Soviet Union took and attached to Ukraine and Belarus is it and never went back?
Israel's piecemeal acquisition of territory for economic gain is by design, according to Israeli government documents that were revealed in the media three years ago. It's often been compared to Manifest Destiny in the US West which was justified by the public view that the original owners were inferior beings. It's also often expressed on these forums. People act in desperate ways when they're losing their homes and land.
Israel is trying to legalize its land grab just as the US often tries to manufacture legal pretexts for its invasions in neighboring countries. Without a sovereign entity in place governing the Palestinians and the international law regarding the Israeli settlements, this plan won't have any legal standing in the future. Israel is banking on the US doing its bidding.
True - but one at least wore the Uniform and so it a Moral Giant compared to the other. Also, the scale of the financial corruption of one is completely different than that of the other......in that way, it's like comparing Madoff to the office worker who took home a pen and printed some of his own stuff out on the Office Printer.
So....so far it seems the liberals are opposed. What about Republicans? For Israel to agree to a Palestinian State, and forfeit land it rightly won when it was attacked, is a good compromise. To expect Israel to give up the entire West Bank, allowing Palestinian terrorists to position themselves well for more attacks, is unrealistic.
The meeting is today. I hope we will learn more of the details and not just reject it out of hand because Palestinians don't get 100% of what they want. That's not how a negotiation works.

There is nothing to oppose or support, since no one knows the details. Sure sounds like a good distraction for both Trump and Netanyahu since both are in hot water. A two-state solution is nothing new, and Netanyahu has been opposed to it in the past. He might support it now for show as long as he is convinced it is unacceptable to the Palestinians. Bush supported it as did Obama, and now it seems Trump does too. Lets see what is in the plan and then we can say if its a good plan, or a plan designed to be rejected.
