This stems from the gun rights fight going on in Virginia. West Virginia has invited some disaffected counties in Virginia to secede from their state and join West Virginia.

Not sure if this is workable or even realistic, but would this be a state-to-state matter or would the Feds have to be involved?

I applaud any voluntary seccesion effort. However with govt's being nothing more than highly organized violent gangs, bloodshed is likely.

Gang leader Lincoln murdered almost a million to keep his turf.

How would this bloodshed occur?

Let me remind you that this is about one section of a state joining another state and NOT leaving the U.S. itself. Completely different situation.

Also let me remind you that the Confederacy fired the first shot at Fort Sumter (although, technically, it was actually the South Carolina militia, as the Confederacy was not officially formed at that point).

And when was the last time that government-sponsored "gangs" fired on its own citizens? The last time I know of that happening was the Bonus Army riots of 1932 under Herbert Hoover (unless you count police firing on rioters -- or maybe a situation like Waco).

I think areas should be able to vote to join other states.

Kent State in Ohio, 1970, and yes, Waco.

It can happen.

Thanks, I forgot about Kent State! (Which is really terrible for me, especially, because I am from that area, and my dad attended Kent State in the mid-50's!)
