Her New Green Deal was hogwash. It was a way for her to get her name on the climate change train. Isn't it a little weird how she was able to propose a bill just weeks into her tenure? She barely speaks on it now.
She hasn't really done anything for her district but make recite A LOT of speeches. She is on the road with Bernie.
The reality tv show Trump put on last night lacked vision. The progress was a continuation of a 11 year recovery created by sound fiscal policies. Which Trump claiming that the regulations he got rid were the main factor. The reality is, Fed. doing QE4 and China pumping trillions, into the equity markets. Growth away from equities is below the average.
The GOP already running on cutting the massive debt they created.
Trump has already started gutting SS with the attack on disability. Just the beginning.
Medicare is next after the election if Trump has his way.
Translation:
1. "Obama is responsible for the economy"
2. "The republicans are going to throw granny out into the street"
Claim: "I am thrilled to report to you tonight that our economy is the best it has ever been."
Reality Check: It's true the economy has been doing well during Mr Trump's presidency - but there have been times when it was even stronger.
During President Trump's administration, the annual rate of growth of gross domestic product (GDP) - the value of goods and services in the economy - has been between 2% and 3%.
But under President Clinton, the annual growth rate was higher - reaching over 4%.
And if you look at quarterly GDP growth, under President Obama it peaked at 5.5% during 2014. That's not been matched during Mr Trump's term.
There were also periods of economic expansion in the 1950s and 1960s when GDP growth was even higher.
The democrats are headed for an EPIC DEFEAT in November. Trump won't get to Reagan landslide territory as that kind of win is no longer possible for the republicans, but I predict he will win the popular vote and at least 40 states in the electoral college (this is the one that counts, by the way)….
What about that entire cadre of Congresswomen, pumping their fists in the air (actually, they were making some sort of hand signal....I'm not up on SJW gestures), yelling "we are free!" "we are free!" "we are free!" over the president while he was speaking. I would have loved to see THEM removed.
If the SOTU is going to be a campaign speech to the party base, as opposed to a joint address to the Congress, there is no point in the opposing party to go at all. We have reached a whole new level of division, so maybe this whole tradition will eventually die away.
I don't know who the "we are free" people were, but I would assume it was those who celebrated the 100th anniversary of women's voting rights.
