Joe said he had the guy fired because he was corrupt not because of Burisma.
There waa in fact an open case on Burisma at the time.
So Joe is lying.
Joe said his replacement was "solid" yet he was even more corrupt.
Joe lied again.
A full investigation of this is warranted, it should be lead by Republicans friendly to the president and get all the funding and resources Mueller and impeachment did.
Bidens chances for being elected evaporate as he gets closer to it. The more people look into this the more crooked it gets. He should drop out before he goes to jail where I am sure his stories of children sitting on his lap stroking his leg hair will go over real well.

This is nothing but wishful thinking.
Why didn't the Republicans lead a "full investigation" of this when it happened? They were in control of both chambers of Congress. Why did Congress not lead a "full investigation" into this prior to last summer?
There was an open case against Burisma when Shokin was removed, but it was "dormant" according to Ukrainian officials. Guess what? It's still open and still "dormant" today.

We know the real reasons: Trump got his hand caught in the cookie jar and it's an election year. I have a feeling if Biden doesn't get the nomination that these daily threads on Ukraine disappear overnight. Remember the swift boaters?
The fact his replacement was more corrupt does tend to question the stated motivation, and if not nefarious then the action was certainly negligent and incompetant.
Whats bothersome is the zeal democrats seem to have in dismissing an investigation into this. Its certainly relevant.
Lutsenko was appointed by the Ukrainian Parliament (Rada). I have no idea why anyone believes that Biden has a role in selecting him or, how it would even be possible for Biden to do so given the process. If someone has evidence that Biden was involved, let’s see it. Otherwise all you have is completely baseless innuendo untethered from reality that you appear to be using as a straw-grasping attempt to salvage the stupid narrative that Rudy Giuliani sold you and you foolishly bought.

Still deflecting ah? Do you have any evidence that Shokin's replacement did anything different than Shokin? Did he do anything to actually investigate Burisma? To bring the corrupt leadership to justice?
I don't need to provide any such evidence. Shokin was dishonest, lining his own pockets, and not pursuing corruption. Shokin failed to provide Great Britain the paperwork they needed in order to pursue their own investigations against Burisma. Shokin ended up being removed. The effectiveness of his successor is not relevant. While I am sure that the United States wanted a better prosecutor, and the IMF wanted a better prosecutor, and the EU wanted a better prosecutor, and Great Britain wanted a better prosecutor, in these matters, you take it one step at a time. When corruption is so deeply embedded in the political and legal systems of a country, so embedded that the President of a country, the ministers of a country, the prosecutor and his associates are all engaged in corrupt conduct, while the rest of the world would love an honest, hardworking prosecutor to take over, there is no guarantee that that will happen. But the next prosecutor wasn't much of an improvement, and he didn't last long, did he? One step at a time.

I don't know that his successor was MORE corrupt, but he didn't last long.
I don't have a problem with investigating Burisma, but there is no evidence that Hunter Biden's actions as a board member were corrupt, and Vice President Biden's actions were at the behest of the Obama administration. What do you want to investigate?
Hunter didnt do anything. All he did was enrich himself from the bribe Burismas owner paid to Joe Biden by employing Hunter. Its not a crime to accept a gift. You should be able to explain what the gift was for.
How come Lutsenko did not prosecute Burisma or its owner? That becomes the issue.
What bribe? Hunter Biden did serve on the board. He attended the board meetings. He submitted his analysis of several legal matters. Was he grossly overpaid? Maybe, but Burisma wanted respectability, and they were willing to pay for people with certain names. Hunter Biden wasn't the only board member.
Was Hunter Biden stupid to take the position? Yes. And as I've pointed out before, Vice-President Biden's staff should have raised red flags as well. Hunter Biden does things which are self-destructive, but which also damage his father's political career. Stupid and greedy. But that doesn't make the Bidens criminals.

If that were the only reason, why would they hire someone that had been thrown out of the Navy for cocaine use? That had a history of frequenting prostitutes? That was center of a controversy of refusing to pay his ex-wife in a divorce settlement? If they were looking for "respectability"-Hunter Biden is not a place anyone would go. Now if they wanted to influence the "point man" on America's "Ukraine Policy"....

He had exactly the same opportunity and power to influence Shokin's replacement as he did to influence his firing. Cute try at deflecting from the facts. Had we withheld a billion US taxpayer dollars in aid unless they appointed someone that was not corrupt, that had not served prison time for corruption, that actually had a law degree and had investigated corruption...we would have such a person appointed. Instead...we ended up with someone worse than Shokin...that killed the investigation. Gotta wonder if he wasn't hand picked by Biden because he was so "solid" (in Biden's words).
