Trump slipped up yesterday and ended up rebuking Limbaugh's recent statement that Trump would "have fun with" Pete Buttigieg's sexual orientation. Trump said he would have no problem voting for a gay presidential candidate, and that Buttigieg's sexual orientation didn't seem to be hurting him.

You see, occasionally Trump goes off script and forgets that he's supposed to be a demagogue for religious extremists and uneducated white males who still think Rush Limbaugh's veiled homophobia is amusing.

Or he is not, as many of his supporters keep trying to point out, the racist homophobic person the media and Democrats keep trying to convince everyone he is. Maybe, just maybe, like most humans, his belief systems don’t neatly fit in a pre-determined package of good and evil, but vary depending on the topic.

I think Trump is a narcissistic jackass with no filter, I do not think he is racist or homophobic. The man is a true equal opportunity jerk, anyone and everyone is equally likely to be the target of his vile attacks.

Trump will say what he thinks will endear people to him at the moment and then say exactly the opposite for the same reason.

I think Trump is starved for affection because his parents couldn't tolerate him. They shipped him off to military school because he was a failure and he never got over it. Then he tried to buy affection with his money only to have failed marriages so he relied on prostitutes. His business ventures have failed over and over and if not for his inheritance and questionable practices and various loans from foreign entities, he would have been penniless long ago. He knows in his heart he is a failure so he puts up this facade of self importance and grandeur where he purports to know it all. It has condensed to habitual and chronic lying about any and everything if he thinks it puts him in a positive light at the moment with no thought to what he has said in the past. If you don't adore him continuously, you are suddenly his enemy. How many people have been lured to him with the bait of money and power only to find out he is a vicious trap? Over and over people have turned against him once he reveals his true colors and amorality and they realize he is dragging them down with his sinking ship. He is self destructive and can not help it. We can only hope he does not destroy the country beyond repair as well.

I'm sure Trump has disagreed with everyone at one time or another, even Ivanka and Jared Kushner.

Some have vivid imaginations and should try writing fiction stories and jokes.

You are projecting how you operate on to others.

There is freedom of thought outside of your bubble... you should try it sometime.

Not unless you think Handmaid's Tale is a political manifesto.

Trump needs to get back on script. First he says Alabama's draconian abortion laws are wrong, now he says there's nothing wrong with a president being gay.... he doesn't sound like what his evangelical fundamentalist base says he is.

Perhaps we saw a bit of Trump's true beliefs, and he's merely playing white evangelicals for fools.
