Matt has probably seen his income and ad revenue go way down. That's the nature of the internet and media beast because all of the a-holes and haters are fighting for the very same eyeballs....which become less valuable each time they return to a site.
Drudge is a news aggregator.
It invented click bait and uses hits to to sell as space and does very well.
Over the years, it has linked to hundreds of Info Wars/ Alex Jones headlines, including Pizzagate.
It does not acknowledge its role in spreading misinformation.
It knows what its readers want and delivers.
I have no idea if or who Bloomberg might consider for a running mate.
Might be fabricated.
Might be planted by an opponent Democrat campaign team, either Democrat or Trump.
Or Bloomberg could be floating it for a reaction.
Some brilliant chess player in the Bloomberg campaign (I'm serious).....
Years ago we had an arch-competitor in biz that decided to open their 3rd store location in our little town and zip code. It was very simple for us to spook them.....although they went ahead and failed big time.
The first thing we did was place an ad in their local paper (near their main store) announcing our pending new shop location nearby. One can only imagine what they were thinking! Hey, it only cost us $45 or so.
We followed up with other similar moves. But we warned them....just like Bloomberg is warning Trump. I called them and said "Fellas - you can open your store anywhere you please - 10 miles down the road, etc - BUT, if you do it right here we are going to be in a little fight".....
This is basic strategy 101. Please read the Art of War for a sample.
Look at the overview. The GOP is spending 10's of millions....on the Biden attacks and such. They are spending what little intellectual capital they have also...on making up nicknames for Warren or attacking Bernie.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg flanked them and now WINS against the POTUS in every national POTUS race poll.
If nothing else you should all vote for Bloomberg due to his intelligence. If he can outflank the entire brain trust (what little there is) of the GOP before he is even getting started, he can surely do well in the Oval Office.
This will be great fun. Maybe I should blog on it?
Maybe Trump should dig into what little of a personal fortune he amassed from the Russians and Arabs and throw a billion more at the race? BUT, even if he does that, money alone won't do much if he only has "the worst people" working for him.
No doubt many sane and principled people won't be volunteering for his campaign...even for $$.
People self identify when responding to polls. Credible pollsters know this.
People tend to believe only those polls when outcomes seem to validate their own perceptions.
Politicians, however, seem to live or die by polls.
Well, being as they most always come in within the margin of error, I'd live and die by them also.
Any polling firm that ends up outside the MOE repeatedly is downgraded or adjusted.
Point is, in this case, any claim that voters don't know Bloomberg or that he needs or wants Hillary for such....is very far out. The GOP has passed into law the fact that Money=Votes. If Bloomberg decides to spend 10% of his net worth (6+ billion) on his or the Dems campaigns and the GOP raises "only" 2 Billion, the 6 is going to skew the result toward the Dems.
Keep in mind that former amounts of BOTH POTUS Candidates never topped 1.2 Billion (2016).
Oh, we have to add in another 2 Billion or so for the total Dem spend because Voters are donating and many other big $$ types are going to throw a couple bucks in the pot.
On the GOP side, Adleson just threw in 600 Million I think........
Personally, I hate this idea of one dollar one vote. But the GOP enshrined it into law so we have to live with the system they gave us...for now.

Bloomberg camp has nothing to gain from publicizing, even surreptitiously under the radar, that Clinton communicated with BB. It's actually an election liability for him. They either know or don't know that. It is no effective tactic if originating from Bloomberg's side.
BTW, you have doubtless seen City-Data PaOC polling showing Bloomberg trailing badly in a matchup with Trump. Nothing like the CNN and other surveying techniques deliberately weighted Democratic in the fine print.
