Hormone therapy and the other "corrective" treatments only go so far. The male Musculoskeletal system is designed differently and more optimally for sports in general. It is just a fact of life and millions of years of evolution. It isn't fair to have transgender men compete with females. I am not saying they should be looked down upon, or not treated well, or equally in society, but it is clearly unfair to women.

Ridiculous. Why should a biological male, with a tremendous advantage in muscle mass, lung capacity, and size, get to compete against females? He is a sure thing to clinch the gold (if he doesn't, he's REALLY bad)

This person would get obliterated by a cadre of elite women in the Olympics. But this person is going to get smoked by the elite American women in the trials so there is nothing to worry about.
But on the other hand, if you think a 2:43 marathoner (male/female/trans) is "REALLY BAD""....I suggest you go out and do one yourself.
They used to slip them in - but if it’s open information let them decide and make the rules. If other competitors complain then they will have to reconsider the rules.
I’m gay and generally support trans rights but I can completely agree with drawing a line here, especially for anyone that has recently transitioned. The advantages biological males will have in sports do not make it fair for the other women.
Just as there are sporting divisions that are gender-labeled ("boy", "girl", "man", and "woman"), a division labeled "Trans" and "Intersex" should be the norm for the Olympics. That way.
If you have a Y chromosome in any combination, you are male. That's it.
