Greta is 17, maybe technically a child, but old enough to say hot or not

If you aren't a boomer then you should be ashamed at that attempt at being clever.

Right wingers are mocking liberals, not copying them.
That point was lost on you.

A 19-year-old German climate change sceptic who has been described by her supporters as “the antidote to Greta Thunberg”, is gaining support from right-wing organisations, including Germany’s far-right party AfD party, and a think tank with links to The White House.

It’s like when the mad scientist in a game or cartoon series creates an anti-version of the protagonist...
Except you made this up. The GOP isn't into having children fight their fights and you have no proof otherwise. Because someone makes up a story and you fell for it doesn't mean it's true.

An interesting comparison.

What came to my mind was the GOP looking at unhappy Hillary followers in 2008 and decided to put a woman on their ticket, because they somehow got the idea that women could be swayed to vote for anyone with ovaries.

Regardless of how one feels about climate change or global warming, what's so wrong with being a bit more environmentally conscious? It doesn't mean you can't drive a vehicle or use electricity? But what's so wrong with making small steps or adopting methods to be more environmentally friendly?

It’s very simple, we keep adding CO2 to atmosphere and the planet is going to heat up. Oceans are going to rise. Climate we been used to for last 10,000 years is going to change. This is just scientific reality.
It's the hyperbole from her and others that is imo the problem.

They make some serious deviations from science predicting imminent doom.

Reminds me of some evangelist repeatedly predicting the end of the worl.d

Are you kidding? It might cut into profit. Cannot have that.

The Heartland Institute is behind it. This is the same bunch that defended the cigarette and coal industries.

This is nothing but astroturfing and taking advantage of an ignorant German young woman who get her ideas straight out of the German far-right.
