A whistleblower has shown that the government should not be on charge of healthcare.

The whistleblower said a team dispatched to deal with quarantined people involving the coronavirus didn't have the basic equipment or training to deal with a standard quarantine.

Most likely, this was the CDC who has a $12 billion budget.

This type of quarantine is a basic function of the agency, but they were not prepared at all.

The government can't be trusted with our healthcare.

Trump has gutted the CDC to fund his tax breaks for himself and his cronies. He has fired all the competent people who tell the truth and hired incompetent yes-men who Trump likes because he doesnt like being told the reality.

He is endangering the lives of the American people with these reckless cuts. This silly "destroy the budgets for the federal government except the military" attitude is causing us to be less prepared and more in danger of a pandemic than most other countries. Especially considering we have no guaranteed paid vacation time either so people go to work and transmit diseases.

Cuts create a level of unpreparedness, so let's cut more? Doesn't really jive.

Most universal healthcare systems have more than adequsate plans to deal with emergencies, indeed part of the reason is that the system is run on a larger scale and doesn't involve lots of smaller companies or for profit medical care.

Furthermore of you want a good example as to stopong the vrus, look at China where cases are now decreasing and hospials are built in only weeks.

What you are trying to say is that Trump admin can't handle it. He has done everything he can to weaken the US preparedness for such incidents.

Are you saying the CDC doesn't plan for quarantines?

The Trump administration has weakened the CDC the same way they have weakened numerous other agencies. Defund and eliminate anyone they deem disloyal. I don’t see Medicare, military and VA recipients giving up their government healthcare. Trump owns any government failure to address COVID19. He golfs a third of the time and should be quite rested. I’m sure he and Pence, aka Laurel and Hardy, have this all under control.

Completely and utterly full of crap.
