Afghanistan and especially the Obama/Biden Afghan Surge was a huge unnecessary war of choice that we didn't have to have and was a failed attempt at nation building. Something that Obama/Biden promised not to do and then turned around and did.

10s of 1000s dead for nothing accomplished.

Thankfully Trump is going to get us out of that completely debacle brought to us by Obama & Biden.

I will believe it when the last trooper leaves the country.

Kind of like a new interstate being built. It starts and never stops.

Obama & Biden were blood thirsty war mongers. Why would you defend them with such nonsense.

This is a positive step but you are getting way ahead of yourself with a withdrawal. The Taliban is not some monolithic faction with one leader, its a group war lords with their own particular factions. One small oversight on your part was that the Afghan government wasn't present at the negotiations but this is the Trump administration negotiated a peace agreement with Israel,

We have been here before, so far so good but its only a week. The lives and money we wasted there are stunning, I just think of what we could have done in our own country rather than support corrupt Afghans.

Very easy to get into wars, we can thank the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld brain trust for not paying attention to history either in Afghanistan or Iraq. You seem very ready to blame Obama even though he did draw down troops from what he inherited. But since you want to cast around blame Trump actually increased the amount of Troops from when he took office.

I hope this is the end.

Default Trump signs deal with terrorists and surrenders Afghanistan

So much for that.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will witness the signing of a U.S.-Taliban agreement on a withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, President Donald Trump said on Friday, heralding an agreement that could help his re-election campaign.

I wonder what the reaction of the right wingers who regularly post here would have been if the same deal had been authorized by Barack Hussein Obama?

I actually agree with trump on this one. We should leave. I doubt this helps him politically though at this point.
