The Government "collecting lost profits"??? How does that work???

Here in the state of Washington the Democrats just passed a carbon tax plus a substantial increase in the gas tax. Prices up 40 cents past couple of days. Pushing 3.90 a gallon today.

Oh forgot, the carbon tax money will be used to pay Warren Buffet and others to destroy thousands of acres of endangered shrub-steppe habitat building Industrial Wind Areas.

Is that what you meant?? Warrren Buffet "collecting lost profits. Simple greedy b*****".

Well, we have the "best government money can buy". AND he bought the Democrats and Governor Inslee in Washington state. Shouldn't he be able to reap the profits from his "investment in government"?

It's amazing how a president can manipulate gas prices, it couldn't have anything to do with supply and demand.

Gas prices here have gone down about negative one dollar and eighty-five cents a gallon, give or take, since King Biden ascended to the throne. I just love financing the Middle East, so I'm pretty stoked about it. I also get a kick out of flushing money down the toilet. So there is that.

Think of it this way:

A leech collecting lost blood. If you think of it that way, it will make total sense, just like it does for a liberal.

It has everything to do with supply and demand. Biden in both word and deed has put down pressure on supply. Speculation is driving up the price. Gasoline demand is not near what it was in 2019 when we paid $2.50 a gallon. The difference? Trump was all for energy independence and supported such in word and deed. The market did not expect a shortage - just the opposite. Now we have an anti oil administration and we are seeing the result. Democrats own this high oil price 100 percent.

Sure was funny with Bush 1 and 2 we had record oil prices and 3 failed wars in 91 and 2008.

Oil production was at a record low during the pandemic, producers walked away from drilling rigs. People are consuming more now that we are getting back to normal. When oil was at $40 a barrel it wasn't worth the investment, now there is a shortage as demand increases, same for cars and many other areas as production catches up.

Trump allowed drilling on land leased from the government, it was more for show than anything else because it wasn't profitable. Name one current policy that drove the prices up this amount, just one.

We were already energy independent when Trump took office, this is just another Trump fantasy.

The days of old now.
