As Trump declares a national emergency over coronavirus, remember all those people who told you that credible news organizations were just trying to take down Trump with hysteria and frenzied coverage.
Trump refused to answer questions from reporters about test availability, and instead responded that the swine flu was worse(when the question had nothing to do with the swine flu). Twice he used the swine flu to avoid answering the questions from the reporters. Seems he is hiding something about testing and switched subject to swine flu.
One time he responded with "That's a nasty question"...when the person asked about the removal of the team which was responsible for planning for pandemic responses. He didn't want to answer that question so said it was nasty. Then, when pressed, he said he didnt know anything about it and someone else did it in within the department and he had no idea.
Probably one of the best response speeches in modern history. The markets went wild into a buying frenzy. Trump is cutting all the red tape and tests will be rolling out soon from various companies.
It’s true that the president’s budget proposals have consistently called for reduced funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but Congress hasn’t enacted those cuts. Some Democrats have correctly said Trump “tried” to implement such cuts, while others wrongly claimed he “slashed funding of the CDC” or “cut the funding,” in the words of Democratic presidential candidates Mike Bloomberg and Joe Biden, respectively.
Biden said Trump “tried to defund the NIH.” Trump did propose cutting NIH funding, but lawmakers instead have enacted increases.
Multiple Democrats, including Bloomberg and Biden, have criticized Trump for getting rid of a pandemic response position on the National Security Council. The position was eliminated, although John Bolton, then-national security adviser, was the person directly responsible.
Who did John Bolton report to? You guys are just completely incapable of understanding leadership responsibility huh?
So Trump consistently tries to defund the CDC and NIH and congress stops him from doing so and you credit that as a point in his favor, and he hires the guy that disbands the pandemic response team but "its not his fault".
Sure whatever, I'm sure that makes sense in the mind of a sycophant.
Get over it. That’s the first link I found on google. You tried and failed.

He would be attacked by the left and accused of trying to silence them if he didn't !!!
I suppose now he will be attacked for having them speak !!! That wouldn't surprise anyone would it ?
Because this press briefing is less about the announcement of the National Emergency because that can be done without all of these guys.
This was most definitely a 'thank you' for whatever these companies are doing to help this administration through this crisis.
Nothing wrong with that.
Dr. Fauci spoke about 'private sector' because all those people behind him are in the private sector. It's their thank you & corporate nod.
